Henry Richard MP

Rev. Henry Richard MP (3 April 1812 – 20 August 1888) from Tregaron, Cardiganshire, was a Congregational minister and Welsh Member of Parliament (1868-1888). He was also Secretary of the Peace Society for forty years (1848-1884); his extensive work in the name of peace and international arbitration earned him the moniker "the Apostle of Peace". He died in 1888 and his tomb can be seen in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington, London.
