Robert MeyrickHead of School and Keeper of Art![]() Photo of Robert Meyrick. In art history, Meyrick has a particular commitment to the graphic arts, especially British printmaking during the period 1920–1960. This is reflected in his research and curation of touring exhibitions at the invitation of some of the leading public and private museums and art galleries in Britain. The National Library of Wales has recognised his contribution to the study of Art in Wales in the 20th century and commissioned a series of national touring retrospective exhibitions with accompanying publications: George Chapman, John Elwyn, Gregynog Prints, Edgar Holloway, Gwilym Prichard, Claudia Williams and Gladys Vasey among them. Books include Edgar Holloway: Catalogue Raisonné of Etchings and Engravings (Scolar, London 1996) and John Elwyn (Lund Humphries, London 2000). Meyrick’s research is reflected in the teaching programme at Aberystwyth where he teaches across a wide range of modules in Fine Art, Art History, and Museum and Gallery Studies. He was recently made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in recognition of his contribution to the art of printmaking. ![]() Robert Meyrick, Cover of John Elwyn, Lund Humphries, 2000 |
