Ceramicist. Born in Lincoln he is one of Britain's leading ceramic artists who straddles the divide between the vessel form and ceramic sculpture. He trained at the Central School of Art & Design, London, under Dora Billington. His early work consisted of multiple bowls and pierced boxes and later moved toward more monumental sculptural forms with graphic markings on a white surface.
