Harry Holland

Born: 1941, UK, Scotland, Glasgow

Painter and printmaker. Studied at St Martin's School of Art, 1965-69. Taught at Coventry, 1969-72, Stourbridge, Hull and Cardiff, 1974-78, Colleges of Art. Lives in Cardiff where he now paints full-time. He is known for his detailed paintings of figures in theatrical poses, frequently female nudes, which often incorporate stage props. His work of the late 1980s and early 1990s concentrated on still lifes
