Painter and printmaker. Studied at Camberwell School of Art, 1972-76. Worked as an Official War Artist in the Gulf War, 1990-91. Teaches as a visiting professor at the London Institute and visiting research fellow at the Camberwell College of Arts. He produces work that questions the morality of political and consumer society, often with humour, in a free, painterly style. His controversial 2004 exhibition 'The Inconvenience of History - Paintings from the West Bank and Palestine', commented upon the political experience and poverty of the Palestinian people
