Edward Goodall

Self-taught line engraver, best known for his reproductions of works by painter J. M. W. Turner who noticed his work at an exhibition at the Royal Academy, London, in the early 1820s. Goodall specialised particularly in landscapes and also produced book illustrations. He was the father of artists Frederick, Edward Angelo and Walter Goodall.
