Eric Hesketh Hubbard

Born: 1892, UK, England, London   Died: 1957

Printmaker, designer and writer. Studied at Croydon School of Art, South Western Polytechnic and the Westminster School of Art. He founded the Forest Press and became a member of both the Print Society and the New Forest Group of Painters. He lectured upon and wrote about printmaking techniques. He spent some of the 1920s living near the New Forest where he encountered gypsy life - a subject which occupied many of his etchings, aquatints and woodcuts. The Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, a life drawing society on The Mall in London, was founded in his name in 1930
