Photographer, painter and poet. First worked as a typesetter in a printing office, a trade which he continued most of his life. Self-taught photographer beginning in 1955. He was influenced by the photographer Giuseppe Cavalli (1904-1961) but also by painters including Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978). He became a member of both the La Bussola and the Misa Groups acting as treasurer of the latter. He produced prints, often in high contrast, in series based on themes such as landscape, old age and death
