Born: 1941, Peterborough, England, UK

Painter and printmaker. Studied at the Royal College of Art, 1960–64. Undertook a two year teaching post at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, 1977–79. He curated and exhibited in a number of touring exhibitions including ‘The Subjective City’ 1990, ‘Contemporary Colourists’ 1992 and ‘Witnesses and Dreamers’ 1993. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in England and, more recently, in France where he has lived since 2001. In 1990 he was commissioned to produce four paintings by B.A.A (British Airports Authority) for Gatwick Airport and in 1993 he took on a commission from London Transport as part of ‘Art on the Underground’. During his studies he was strongly influenced by Op Art but then abandoned the style in the late 1970’s in favour of figurative art and urban realism
