Painter and printmaker. Studied at the Royal Academy Schools from 1788. Founder member of the Society of Painters in Watercolours (the Old Water-Colour Society). He travelled to Paris in 1814 and also visited Waterloo. He published 'Sketches of Flanders and Holland', London, John Boothä, 1816, and 'Etchings of Quadrupeds'. He produced paintings, drawings, aquatints and etchings of landscapes and animal studies
