One of six works by the artist commissioned by the Welsh Arts Council for the exhibition 'The Fall' which opened at the Oriel in April 1976 and toured to Bangor Art Gallery, the Museum and Art Gallery, Newport and the Glynn Vivian Museum and Art Gallery, Swansea. The artists commissioned for 'The Fall' - Mervyn Baldwin, Paul Bowen, Ian Grainger, Will Lorimer, Chris Orr and Gwyn Watkins - were challenged to provide a series of illustrations to specific biblical passages relating to the story of Adam and Eve
A dystopian scene in which a strange, red figure drives a futuristic mobile in the foreground. There are two other figures in the piece; one is a nude male wearing a blindfold and covering his genitals with a vine, the other is a woman wearing a plain dress with her back facing the viewer. They stand in a sort of junk yard with debris scattered across the floor and a pile of rubbish on the left with a washing line stretching from the pile off to the right.
