Mattei (b.1945) with seventeenth century engravings by Guiseppe Maria Mitelli (1634-1718). Developed from an idea by Giancarlo Roversi. From an edition of 299 sets. The prints are contained in a portfolio with an introduction, descriptive notes and a short biography of Guiseppe Maria Mitelli, all in Italian
An archer and a woodman; Mattei and Mitelli, November. In the upper right corner is a sketch by Mattei of an archer on the back of a horse. The latter raised on its hind legs. The sketch is enclosed in a circle. Below is a large reproduction of an engraving by Mitelli featuring a woodman chopping wood with an axe raised above his head. He is bearded and wears a buttoned coat and trousers. On the ground is a tree stump and a mallet. An archer on a horse, representing Sagitarius, is enclosed in a small circle. Text on image, 'NOVEMBRE'
