Two stocky Welsh miners, one seated and one kneeling, both wearing jackets, trousers, white T-shirts and pit helmets. The figure on the left rests his right hand on his right knee. The figure on the right rests his left elbow on his left knee. Yellow background. Stone lithograph with tusche and chalk, the latter used around the figures shoulders and heads. Printed in black, brown and yellow. Paper has the embossed stamp 'CS'
