Mrs Farrell’s House, Troy

Mrs Farrell, the wife of a millionaire, first commissioned Holloway to paint a watercolour of her house, and she later commissioned the etching. The mock-Tudor house of which she was so proud, with its red brick, white plaster and half-timbering, was built between the wars using immigrant Italian labour.
