A large group of European? women, wearing long black dresses, white collars and white hats, walk down a road. One woman at the front of the procession holds an umbrella. Other women hold a small statue (a religious figure? / icon?) and two banners one of which appears to depict a Madonna and Child. In the background is a low stone wall and some large and small trees. Etched in a sketchy line with cross hatching. Considerable foul-biting across the plate. Paper has the watermark 'FJH'
