View in Paris; Notre Dame and the Seine; foreground, river embankment, a seated male figure washes his feet, figures sit or stand by a stone pier and a man washes a dog; middleground, an arch of a bridge, steam barges and five horses riden into the river to be washed; background, trees and the gothic Notre Dame cathedral with a spire, two towers and flying buttresses; sky, clouds and a sunset with radiating light. Engraved with varied marks including parallel lines and dashes
