Head only portrait of Stephen Granger. Three-quarter face with head angled slightly downwards. He has short receding hair and a round face. He glances downwards with a thoughtful, slightly anxious, expression. The head is located in the upper half of the plate. The rest of the plate is unworked. Ink has been left on the edges of the plate creating a thin black border on the plate marks. Paper has part of an unidentified watermark
