A young Bacchus with a panther / leopard. On the left is a semi-nude youth (Bacchus) holding an urn / jug in his right hand and lifting a gold cup / bowl with a raised left hand. He has brown, shoulder length hair and wears a laurel of vine leaves and grapes. On the right is the lower part of Bacchus's body covered by a green robe on which sits a leopard, the latter raising it's head towards the bowl held by Bachus. In the background are vine leaves and a sea horizon with sea cliffs. Circular painting on a square canvas with the corners left white. Edges papered over with gum tape
