This seated female figure is characteristic of Eglin's hand modelled, cast and assembled forms which make ironic reference to the contemporary world. Some of the parts are moulded forms based on squashed plastic bottles and cups while the coquettish pose recalls images from advertising and popular culture. The piece is multi-referenced inspired by the history of art and ceramics, including the use of drippy yellow glazes (Staffordshire), graffiti-like brush work (Jackson Pollock) and transfer print (commercial china)
