Christopher Webster: Sleepwalkers
Freud constantly used photographic allusions when discussing the structure of the mind. The mind, he postulated, collected image after image of the outside world, creating a vast archive of recognised and hidden references. In this exhibition of photographs Christopher Webster, Lecturer in Fine Art (Photography) at AU School of Art, uses such constructs to assemble imagery from this mental cutting room floor.
Paul Webster:Figura
New paintings by Paul Webster, part-time lecturer at UWA School of Art, that use the portrait as a metaphor for the ideas of memory, forgetting and recollection.
Simon Hall: A Month in India
A month in India that took in places as distant and various as Jodphur, Rajastan, Kerala and Bombay. Simon Hall, who now lives and works in Rutland, learned his skills as a photographer’s assistant to Andy Green, Malcolm Venville and David Bailey. The exhibition has been organised by Goldmark Gallery, Uppingham.
